How much time do you need to fall in love with a new place, a new city or a new country? You can spend hours or even days walking with guidebooks or in proud loneliness, but still not experience this feeling. But sometimes you can come, put your feet on the cobblestones, breathe deeply and understand “it is mine!” ….
And so it is with Lviv, a city of irresistible charm. Only 5 hours and you are completely in its power. Of course, not completely, because everyone has its own hometown! But you are almost ready to consider the possibility to be born here in the next life ))
The first hour. Running in the city center.
Today Lviv is a lovely tourist town with well-preserved historic center, with funny signs, vintage trams and cobblestones on the road, because of which it seems that your car is about to fall apart.
There are a lot of old streets in Lviv, where you can walk up and down. You can also visit a lot of unique cafes with some really unique themes. Moreover, you can take a fascinating guided tour with a local guide and get to know a lot of intriguing stories about the city.
Market Square has been the center of political, public, cultural, and commercial life of the city for 500 years. Surrounding it are 44 unique architectural monuments dating back to the 16-20th centuries.
The second hour. The locals.
When considering where to move to in Lviv, there seems to be this general consensus that you will have a greater feeling of immersion, both cultural and linguistic, if you speak with the locals.
The third hour. The aroma of coffee and chocolate.
Now it is not impossible to imagine old narrow streets without seductive tart aroma of coffee that flies out of small windows of cozy cafes.
Do you still believe that coffee is imported from Brazil? it is not so and a 15-minute stay in Lviv will finally change your geographical knowledge )) You can have a very good coffee in “Копальня кавы”. But the most beautiful thing is take the stair and go underground. It’s like a mine/cave and in the last room you can have a very good coffee! souvenirs shop inside… and remember to wear the helmet!
The fourth hour, smoothly flows into the fifth.
Almost like in Odessa.
If you could use only 5 words, how would you describe Lviv? If you were in Lviv only 5 hours these words will be “charm, fun, coffee, very quickly” ))
