Day 1

In the morning meet your guide and driver at the reception of your hotel and set off on an exclusive 2-day tour to Chernobyl and Pripyat. The road from Kiev to the Detiatky checkpoint will take about an hour and your guide will introduce you to the history of the Chernobyl accident. After passing the control zone, the first part of the tour will start.

On the first day, you will explore the territory of the Chernobyl-2, the secret military Soviet city of the Cold War period, situated not far from the town of Chernobyl. You will never find it on the old maps, because the public learned of its existence only after the catastrophe. The highlight of this place is a gigantic radar Duga-1, also known as the “Russian woodpecker” – a 120-meters tall and over 300 meters wide antenna designed to watch important NATO military activities.

Moreover, you will explore the deserted residential areas of Chernobyl-2, including abandoned kindergarten, school and cinema. Your guide will show you such confidential military object as control center and central headquarters.

After the tour, you’ll have ecologically clean dinner at the café in Chernobyl.

Overnight in the hotel in Chernobyl.

Day 2

After the ecologically clean breakfast, continue discovering the most important sights of Chernobyl.

Today, you will visit the ghost town of Pripyat and learn about its tragic destiny. Once a lively city with a population over 45 thousands of inhabitants nowadays is completely devastated and abandoned by people. It was built in 1970, especially for the people, who worked at the Chernobyl Power Plant. After the explosion on the 26th April 1986, a full evacuation was announced and people left their houses forsaking all their personal belonging as they were contaminated. They hoped to come back soon, however never could do it.

Today the city provides a striking impression of a ghost town and people from all over the world come there seeking for unique experience.

Your expert guide will show you the most significant sights of Pripyat, including half-destroyed schools and kindergarten, greenhouses and port at the north part of the city, and the central square, where the deserted house of Culture and hotel are situated.

Moreover, you will explore a famous Pripyat Fairground with a desolated Ferris wheel and electric cars. You will be able to get out of the van, see it all with your own eyes and make astonishing pictures.
