All the fans of military aviation are invited to visit a one-of-a-kind museum of Long-Range Aviaition of Poltava, also known as Museum of Heavy Bomber Aviation. Your guide and driver will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and take you to the territory of the museum.

Museum is located on the territory of the former airbase that was functioning in the period of the World War II and later, in the period of the Cold War. Since 2007, the base is no longer operating and is turned into a Museum, which consists of nine rare aircrafts from the Soviet period, as well as bombs and missiles. The tours guides of the museum are retired military soldiers and pilots that makes the tour even more interesting.

An open-air display of Poltava Long-Rage Aviation Museum consists of exclusive aircrafts, including:

  • TU-160, supersonic strategic variable-sweep wing bomber-missile carrier, the biggest and the most powerful bomber that can be seen only in this museum
  • TU-95, soviet turboprop strategic bomber-missile carrier, the world’s fastest aircraft with screw engines
  • SU-15, soviet interceptor fighter, designed in the 1960’s
  • AN-2, light multi-purpose aircraft
  • MI-2, soviet multi-purpose helicopter
