You will be picked up by our guide at your place of stay in Kyiv and it will take about 45-60 minutes to get to the first location.

In the dead of night the 24th of February 2022 Russia attacked Ukraine from Crimea, Donbas region, at the north-east and from Belarus, thus making this state another invader. The first Russian landing party tried to storm Hostomel airport and aircraft base in Hostomel on the same day. Dozens of Russian helicopters attacked this quiet town, which was the key to striking Kyiv. At first, the Russians were defeated but the next day took Hostomel under control. During these fights, the biggest in the world Ukrainian cargo aircraft Mriya was destroyed by the invaders.

Bucha was the neighboring town of Hostomel, it was next in line. Ukrainians (mostly volunteers) tried to fight the Russians back. It was here on Vokzalna street, that the column of Russian tanks and infantry fighting vehicles was completely annihilated and the pictures of this were spread all over the world. Later Bucha was occupied nevertheless and infuriated Russians prepared a bloodbath for those town dwellers, who did not escape. Until the liberation of Bucha 637 civilians were executed, tormented to death, hanged, and raped. Bodies were lying on the streets of Bucha for weeks… You will see the place, where those innocent were eventually buried.

Irpin was the last of these three towns to fall. Russian atrocities took place here as well. To this day many of the once beautiful houses of Irpin lie in ruins and ashes. The cemetery of destroyed civilian cars is near Irpin cemetery, where hundreds of graves tell the horrible story of Russian occupation, that lasted until the beginning of April 2022.

The last place to visit is the small village of Moschun, which was almost completely destroyed during the fights in March 2022. It is here that the fate of Kyiv was at stake. You will discover why.

This is the saddest story of our people, towns, and nature that perished because of Russians. But it must be told and by visiting these places you may comprehend all the horrors of war, that still rages in one of the European countries.

At the end of the visit, our guide will drop you off at your hotel in Kyiv.
