Description
Once you meet your guide at the reception of your hotel, a fascinating day trip of the Zakarpattya Oblast will start. Today you will have a chance to discover popular travel attractions and learn many interesting facts from an expert local guide.
We will make our first stop at Yablonitsky Pass, situated on the border between Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattya regions. You will contemplate a stunning mountain scenery around you from the 921-meter height. You will be impressed by the genuine nature and peaceful aura of this place.
The next attraction of our tour is the highest waterfall of the Zakarpattya region – a 36-meter Trufanets Waterfall. It consists of several cascades and is one of the most picturesque waterfalls of the Western Ukraine.
Continuing our trip of Zakarpattya, we will reach the town of Rakhiv. Not far from it, there is a must-visit place of all the travelers – a sign to a geographical center of Europe. There are several places in different European countries that claim the right to be called the center of Europe, and the place near Delove village is one of them. You will take memorable pictures there and also marvel at the beautiful panorama of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve.
In addition, you will visit a restaurant-museum “Kolyba”, famous for its delicious Zakarpattya cuisine and extraordinary interior. The walls of the restaurant are decorated with various vintage items like locks and keys, old irons and photo cameras, musical instruments and dishes. We recommend you to try bograch – traditional meat soup of Zakatpattya.
The next part of our trip to the salt lake in the Solotvino village runs right along the border with Romania. You will see the Ukrainian Carpathians on the one side of the road and the Romanian mountains on the other. After arriving in Solotvino, you will have a free time to relax and swim in the famous salt lakes. They are often compares to the Dead Sea due to the useful properties of water.
Then, you’ll get on board and start a trip back to your hotel overwhelmed with positive impressions.
