One of the most informative and saturated one-day tours from Lviv will start early in the morning from the hotel pick-up. After meeting your friendly local guide, you will set off on a journey through the three picturesque regions of Ukraine – Lviv, Rivne and Ternopil. You’ll have a chance to contemplate scenic landscapes along the route, while your guide tells you interesting stories about the history and traditions of this part of Ukraine.

Our first stop will be at the enigmatic Tarakanivskyi Fort. The distance from Lviv to Tarakaniv is 160 km. This deserted defense constructions is steeped in legends. Built in the end of 19th century on the former border between Russian and Austro-Hungarian Empires, Tarakaniv Fort was partially destroyed during the World War I and II. Since then it turned to an abandoned ghost town, which attracts adventure travelers from all over the world. To get inside the Fort you should pass the 100-meter underground tunnel, and then you’ll explore its long galleries and learn the history of this mystic place.

Our journey continues and soon we’ll reach our second destination – an ancient town of Dubno. The main attraction of the city is Dubno Castle, built in 1492. Today, this castle is a beautiful example of medieval and renaissance architecture. The complex consists of Castle of Princes Lubomirski, with displays of ancient weapon, coins, paintings etc., and Castle of Princes Ostrogski, where a thrilling exposition of medieval tortures is located.

The next town we are going to visit is Kremenets, located 37 km from Dubno. This city has a centuries-old history and beautiful architectural ensemble. The iconic sight of the city is the Kremenets Castle, situated of a high hill. There are only ruins of castle left until our days; however, the outstanding views that open from the Castle Hill are worth living. Another attraction of Kremenets is Jesuit Monastery and Collegium, built in 18th century in Baroque style.

Then, we’ll visit the highlight of our tour – Pochayiv Lavra, located 23 km from Kremenets. Pochayiv Lavra is a male orthodox monastery, founded in the 13th century by the monks who came from Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. You will feel the atmosphere of peace and harmony in the air of monastery. Pilgrims from all over the world come here to visit Dormition Cathedral and worship the Holy Icon of the Theotokos of Pochayiv and the footprint of Mary with a holy water spring.

After seeing so many attractions and learning interesting facts, we’ll start our trip back to Lviv, that will take about 2.5-hours (140 km). You will relax on the road, recalling the most memorable moments of the tour, while your private driver takes you back to your hotel in Lviv.
